Ladoga - George Z. Mahroney 72 of Mace who farmed in the Ladoga area and for many years was athletic equipment manager at Wabash College died at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He had been a patient ther esince he was stricken ill last Friday. A son of Daniel M. and Laura Busenbark Mahorney, he was born March 28, 1897 near Ladoga. He was married to Orthella Marie Johnson who died in October 1956. On December 19, 1959, he was wed to Merrill Zimmerman Everhart who survives. Mr. Mahorney attended Mace United Methodist Church. Also surviving are a son, Samuel M. Mahorney of Ladoga; a daughter, Miss Alice Marie Mahorney of Indianapolis; a brother, Samuel L. Mahorney of Ladoga; 3 grandchildren; a step daughter, Mrs. Ramona Lubking of Ft. Wayne; two step grandchildren and a step great grandchild. A son died in infancy. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Gephart Funeral Home Rev Jack Frick will officiate with burial in Harshbarger Cemetery north of Ladoga. Friends may call after 4 pm today.- kbz
